Regent Seven Seas Cruises Adds Motorsport Experiences For 2027

The cruise operator is expanding its Motorsport Lab collaboration with four pre- and post-cruise programmes in Barcelona, Goodwood and Italy’s Motor Valley.

Petrolheads looking to get their automotive fix may have to look to the high seas. Regent Seven Seas Cruises is expanding its collaboration with Motorsport Lab for 2027, introducing four pre- and post-cruise programmes that combine supercar and classic-car driving with visits to some of Europe’s most celebrated automotive destinations, from Barcelona and England’s Goodwood Estate to Italy’s Motor Valley.

The programmes span Barcelona, England’s Goodwood Estate and Italy’s Motor Valley, with activities ranging from driving classic Porsches through Catalonia to taking a Ferrari onto the roads around Maranello. Regional cuisine and cultural excursions also feature in the itineraries, which are offered before or after selected European cruises.

From Barcelona To Goodwood

Barcelona hosts two experiences. The Motorsport Magic: Classic Porsche Edition, running from 26 to 29 July 2027, includes drives through Catalonia, a visit to the historic Terramar racetrack and an excursion to the seaside town of Sitges. The Motorsport Magic: Exotic Supercar Edition, from 29 July to 1 August, focuses on modern supercars from marques including Ferrari and Lamborghini, alongside access to a private automotive collection.

Both programmes cost US$7,899 per guest and are linked to sailings aboard Seven Seas Grandeur.

In England, House of Motorsports brings guests to the Goodwood Estate from 18 to 21 August before a cruise, or from 21 to 24 August after a cruise. Activities include performance hot laps on the Goodwood Motor Circuit, off-road driving, golf, clay shooting and an art tour. The programme is priced at US$7,399 per guest.

Exploring Italy’s Motor Valley

The fourth programme, Italy’s Supercar Escape, explores Bologna, Modena and Maranello, the heartland of Italian performance-car manufacturing. Guests can visit automotive museums associated with Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pagani, drive a Ferrari on local roads and dine at Cavallino, Ferrari’s restaurant reimagined by chef Massimo Bottura.

Scheduled for 4–7 August, 7–10 August and 12–15 August 2027, the programme costs US$7,899 per guest and is associated with sailings aboard Seven Seas Grandeur and Seven Seas Prestige.

The expanded offering builds on earlier Motorsport Lab experiences organised with Regent, including supercar drives in Barcelona, driving on the Monaco Grand Prix street circuit and visits to Ferrari and Lamborghini attractions in Italy.

For travellers whose interests extend beyond the usual sightseeing itinerary, the programmes offer a motoring-focused addition to a European cruise, with the driving experiences taking place on land before or after time at sea.
