Against the backdrop of the Cannes Film Festival, where fashion, cinema and craftsmanship converge on the Riviera each year, DENZA has introduced a singular interpretation of its Z9GT flagship in collaboration with Chopard.
Created as a one-off commission for the 32nd amfAR Gala Cannes, the DENZA Chopard tailor-made Z9GT extends beyond conventional automotive collaboration, positioning the vehicle instead as an object of lifestyle and couture design.
The project reflects DENZA’s “Technology Drives Elegance” philosophy, pairing the marque’s advanced electric grand touring platform with Chopard’s jewellery-inspired approach to detail and materiality. While the Z9GT already occupies the upper echelon of high-performance electric touring, this collaboration shifts the emphasis toward tactility, atmosphere and visual refinement.

Inside the cabin, Chopard’s influence emerges through subtle yet deliberate interventions. Amethyst stones are integrated into interior controls, introducing gemstone detailing more commonly associated with haute joaillerie than automotive design. Elsewhere, bespoke upholstery treatments feature embroidered Chopard motifs, while the 17.3-inch infotainment display receives a dedicated Chopard interface theme.
The intention appears less about branding visibility and more about creating continuity between the worlds of watchmaking, jewellery and contemporary luxury mobility.
Moving Couture Object

Complementing the vehicle itself, Chopard also created a pair of bespoke timepieces presented alongside the Z9GT: a diamond-set Happy Sport 36 mm and an Alpine Eagle 41 mm, both personalised with DENZA detailing. Conceived as a “His & Hers” pairing, the watches mirror the duality at the centre of the collaboration—precision and emotion, technology and craftsmanship.
The experience extends further through custom luggage pieces by Shiro and a theatrical unveiling beneath an oversized scarf-like reveal cover, styled less like an automotive launch and more akin to a fashion runway presentation.
Yet beneath the couture treatment remains the core architecture that defines the Z9GT itself.

Powered by a tri-motor electric system producing over 1,150 horsepower, the car accelerates from 0–62 mph in under three seconds while supporting ultra-fast FLASH Charging capable of replenishing the battery in approximately nine minutes. A 20-speaker theatre-grade audio system developed with Devialet further reinforces the car’s sensory ambition.

The collaboration arrives shortly after DENZA’s official European debut in Paris, signalling the brand’s broader ambitions within the global luxury landscape. Rather than positioning technology and craftsmanship as opposing forces, the Z9GT suggests a future where digital performance, design and haute luxury increasingly coexist within the same object.
At Cannes, that vision found its most expressive form yet—not simply as a car, but as a statement on how contemporary luxury continues to evolve across industries.
