Two of Alain Ducasse’s most celebrated restaurants will meet in Tokyo this November, as Esterre, the MICHELIN-starred contemporary French restaurant at Palace Hotel Tokyo, welcomes the team from Le Louis XV at Hôtel de Paris in Monte Carlo for three exclusive evenings.

Titled “Esterre with Le Louis XV: The Spirit of Alain Ducasse,” the collaboration takes place from 5 to 7 November, bringing together the chefs of two restaurants shaped by Ducasse’s philosophy of naturalité — an approach centred on the purity and character of ingredients.
For the occasion, Esterre Chef de Cuisine Kei Kojima will work alongside Emmanuel Pilon, Chef de Cuisine of Le Louis XV, and Chef Pâtissier Sandro Micheli. Esterre’s Kohei Nakazawa will also join the collaboration, creating an eight-course menu that brings the culinary identities of Tokyo and Monte Carlo to the same table.

Among the dishes featured will be Le Louis XV’s signature artichoke with sea anemone and caviar, offering a taste of the cuisine that has earned the Monte Carlo restaurant its three MICHELIN stars.
The dinners will be limited to 30 guests each evening, with seatings at 6pm, 6.30pm and 7pm. The eight-course experience is priced at JPY100,000 per person, inclusive of tax and service charge, with an optional wine pairing available for an additional JPY50,000.
A Stay At The Heart of Tokyo

The collaboration unfolds at Palace Hotel Tokyo, whose address at 1-1-1 Marunouchi places it beside the Imperial Palace gardens and within walking distance of Tokyo Station and Marunouchi Naka Dori.
Rebuilt from the ground up and reopened in 2012, the Forbes Five-Star hotel has 284 rooms and suites, many with open-air balconies, alongside 10 restaurants and bars and an evian SPA. Its setting offers a quieter perspective on central Tokyo, with views extending towards one of the city’s most protected green spaces.

For guests looking to turn the culinary collaboration into a longer experience, Palace Hotel Tokyo is offering a dedicated one-night package for 6 or 7 November. Priced at JPY440,000 per night for two, it includes a Deluxe King with Balcony or Deluxe Twin with Balcony, two seats to the Esterre with Le Louis XV dinner and breakfast the following morning at Grand Kitchen or through in-room dining.
Bookings for the stay package are open until 27 October, subject to availability.
Rather than simply bringing two celebrated restaurant teams together, the collaboration offers a meeting of two destinations — Tokyo and Monte Carlo — through Ducasse’s shared belief in letting ingredients and their origins lead the experience.
