Jumeirah Opens A Rare Transatlantic Superyacht Voyage Aboard The Maltese Falcon

The iconic sailing superyacht offers an exclusive private crossing from Gran Canaria to Antigua.

Most luxury holidays are defined by where they begin and end. Jumeirah’s latest experience asks guests to think differently.

This December, the luxury hospitality brand will transform one of the sailing world’s most iconic repositioning voyages into an exclusive private charter aboard The Maltese Falcon, inviting a single group of guests to cross the Atlantic from Gran Canaria to Antigua aboard one of the world’s most celebrated sailing superyachts.

Rather than treating the crossing as a means of reaching the Caribbean, Jumeirah has designed the voyage around the journey itself—ten uninterrupted days where the rhythm of the ocean replaces the pace of everyday life.

A Journey Defined By The Open Ocean

Departing between 1 and 5 December 2026, the 88-metre yacht will sail west across the Atlantic, gradually leaving behind Europe’s winter skies for the warmer waters of the Caribbean. Along the way, days are marked less by destinations than by changing horizons, spectacular sunsets and uninterrupted stretches of open sea before Antigua’s emerald hills finally emerge on the horizon.

It is a voyage that The Maltese Falcon has undertaken for years as part of its seasonal migration between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Until now, however, the crossing has never been available as a guest experience.

A Recognisable Sailing Superyacht

Since its launch in 2006, The Maltese Falcon has become one of the defining yachts of modern sailing, recognised as much for its engineering as its striking silhouette.

Its revolutionary DynaRig sailing system features three freestanding rotating carbon-fibre masts capable of deploying more than 2,400 square metres of sail in just six minutes—a feat that transformed contemporary sailing yacht design.

Following a comprehensive refit, the yacht now combines refreshed interiors with upgraded technology while accommodating up to 12 guests across a full-beam master suite, a private VIP deck and four ensuite guest cabins.

Hospitality Beyond The Shore

Throughout the crossing, Jumeirah extends the hospitality for which it is known ashore to life at sea. Guests will enjoy bespoke dining experiences, personalised wellness programmes and attentive service alongside amenities including a dramatic three-storey atrium, a rotating flybridge sunbed, a fitness studio, massage room and an outdoor cinema projected directly onto one of the yacht’s sails.

Reserved for a single private charter, the voyage represents one of the most exclusive experiences within Jumeirah’s portfolio. More than simply a luxury holiday, it offers something increasingly rare in modern travel: the opportunity to disconnect completely, where the vastness of the Atlantic becomes the destination rather than the distance between two continents.
