Luxury jeweller Bvlgari has inaugurated the expansion of its Manifattura Bvlgari in Valenza, transforming it into the world’s largest single-branded precious jewellery manufacturing site. The ambitious project marks a major investment in Italian craftsmanship, sustainability, and the future of high-end jewellery production.
The facility, now spanning 33,000 square metres, is a tribute to the legacy of Made in Italy excellence. It is set to double its production capacity by 2029 and expand its workforce from 1,100 to over 1,600 artisans, quadrupling since its opening in 2017.
Central to the expansion is Bvlgari’s commitment to sustainability and education. The new buildings, constructed with energy-efficient technologies and powered entirely by renewable energy, aim to maintain a carbon-neutral footprint. A geothermal system and over 4,100 solar panels support the site’s energy needs, while LEED Gold certification highlights its environmental design standards.
The expansion also introduces the Scuola Bvlgari, the Maison’s first publicly accessible jewellery school, offering professional training in goldsmithing and gemstone setting in collaboration with the Tarì Design School. It joins the internal Bvlgari Jewelry Academy, launched in 2017, as part of a broader strategy to preserve artisanal skills and foster new talent.
“Our vision for Manifattura Bvlgari is one where sustainability, innovation, and human excellence converge,” said Bvlgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin. “This facility is not just about production—it’s about creating a holistic ecosystem that celebrates and secures the future of Italian craftsmanship.”
Beyond the factory walls, Bvlgari is also investing in biodiversity and community initiatives, including reforestation efforts and the installation of beehives, reinforcing its position as a leader in responsible luxury.
