Luxury travel brand Explora Journeys has expanded its lifestyle offering beyond the world of ocean travel with the launch of Mandala, an exclusive fine jewellery collection unveiled during an intimate gathering aboard EXPLORA I during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend.
Presented to a select audience of guests, partners and members of the Aponte-Vago family, the collection represents the first venture into fine jewellery for the luxury cruise brand. Conceived as a tangible expression of the “Ocean State of Mind” philosophy that underpins Explora Journeys, the pieces are designed to serve as lasting reminders of experiences at sea.
The launch signals a growing trend among luxury hospitality brands to extend their identity beyond travel itself, creating products that allow guests to maintain an emotional connection with the brand long after a journey has ended.
A Symbol Reimagined

At the heart of the collection is the Explora Journeys emblem, itself inspired by the ancient concept of the mandala. Traditionally associated with harmony, balance and connection, the symbol has been reinterpreted through a series of fine jewellery pieces that explore themes of transformation, belonging and discovery.
The design incorporates motifs including the lotus flower and fleur-de-lis, references that speak to both spiritual symbolism and the brand’s European heritage. Developed in collaboration with jewellery designer Fanny Blanchelande, the collection translates these visual elements into wearable objects intended to feel both contemporary and timeless.
Materials play a key role in the narrative. Alongside precious metals and gemstones, the collection introduces enamel, ceramic, titanium and aluminium, creating contrasts that reflect the interplay between tradition and innovation.
Three Distinct Expressions

Mandala debuts with three design families, each inspired by a different aspect of ocean travel.
Origin centres on the brand’s signature emblem, translating its geometry into talismanic pieces designed to be worn close to the body. Horizon draws inspiration from the meeting point of sea and sky, capturing the sense of calm and openness often associated with life on the water. Odyssey, meanwhile, takes cues from Mediterranean colour, light and mosaic traditions, resulting in more playful and expressive designs.
Complementing the core pieces are smaller Tender-To (T/T) creations, designed as understated everyday companions.
Luxury Beyond The Voyage

The collection will be available exclusively aboard EXPLORA III from its inaugural sailing on 24 July 2026, housed within a dedicated space at Ocean Atelier, the ship’s jewellery boutique. Additional pieces are expected to be introduced over time, with the collection gradually expanding across the wider Explora Journeys fleet.
As luxury travel brands continue to blur the lines between hospitality, fashion and lifestyle, Mandala reflects a growing desire for experiences that extend beyond the voyage itself. Rather than serving simply as souvenirs, the pieces are intended as personal keepsakes—objects that carry memories of travel while embodying the spirit of the journey long after guests return to shore.
