IWC Schaffhausen Launches IWC. Curated. Collection Of Vintage Timepieces

If you’ve ever dreamt of owning a piece of horological history, this might be your moment.

IWC. Curated.

For over 150 years, IWC Schaffhausen has been quietly shaping the world of fine watchmaking by crafting iconic timepieces that marry engineering precision with timeless style. Now, the Swiss watchmaker is opening the vault with IWC. Curated., a newly launched programme offering hand-picked historical and vintage watches, each one restored and certified to reflect its original brilliance.

Curated by the experts at the IWC Museum in Schaffhausen, each watch in the IWC. Curated. selection represents a significant chapter in the brand’s legacy. From rare tool watches issued to the British Royal Air Force to groundbreaking complications crafted in the golden age of mechanical watchmaking, the collection is a celebration of both craftsmanship and provenance.

But these aren’t just vintage watches pulled from dusty drawers. Each piece undergoes a meticulous restoration process in IWC’s own workshops. Skilled vintage watchmakers, all of whom are armed with decades of experience and access to the brand’s extensive archives, breathe new life into every case, movement and bracelet, using original or period-correct parts wherever possible.

The result? A vintage watch that not only looks the part but comes with the peace of mind of modern servicing and an official IWC certification of authenticity and provenance. Each watch is also covered by IWC’s International Limited Warranty, extendable to eight years upon registration.

The IWC. Curated. collection will initially be available in a handful of boutiques around the world including the Schaffhausen boutique in Switzerland, Battersea Power Station in London, Dubai Mall, and Ginza in Tokyo. Each location offers a chance to get hands-on with history, with a rotating selection of standout pieces.

Among the current highlights is the legendary Ingenieur SL, Reference 1832—a bold, integrated-bracelet sports watch designed by none other than Gérald Genta in the 1970s. There’s also the trailblazing Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Chronograph (Ref. 3750) from 1985, which introduced Kurt Klaus’s now-iconic crown-controlled perpetual calendar complication.

For those with a taste for military provenance, the Navigator’s Wristwatch Mark 11 (Store Ref. No. 6B/346), issued to the British RAF in 1952, stands as a true tool-watch icon.

What sets IWC. Curated. apart is not just the rarity of the watches themselves, but the transparency and trust that comes with buying them directly from the brand. For collectors and enthusiasts, it’s a refreshing alternative to navigating the waters of the vintage market.

Whether you’re a seasoned horology buff or simply looking for a vintage timepiece with character and history, IWC. Curated. is a rare chance to own a genuine slice of watchmaking heritage, complete with the craftsmanship and credibility that only IWC Schaffhausen can offer.
