Sony World Photography Awards 2023: The Best Photos

Images speak louder than words. Feast your eyes on the best photos awarded by The Sony World Photography Awards.

Sony World Photography Awards

Sony World Photography Awards is the leading competition for photographers and artists working in photography. The Awards are regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious photography competition, helping to elevate a photographers’ career – from established to emerging – since it started 16 years ago.

“If pictures act as role models, we, photographers, also shape the view of people with our publications,” said Astrid Susanna Schulz,” National Award Winner, Sony World Photography Awards 2021.

The World Photography Organisation has recently revealed the winners and shortlisted entries of the 16th Sony World Photography Awards Open competition, which was no small feat considering the competition received nearly 500,000 images from over 200 countries, making the task of recognising the best single images from 2022 quite challenging.

Of these, more than 200,000 entries entered the open competition, and here are the ten category-winning images.
