Electric, Intelligent, Iconic: Mercedes-Benz CLA Lands In Malaysia

The next era of electric mobility for the German automaker.

Mercedes-Benz CLA Malaysia

The all-new electric Mercedes-Benz CLA has arrived in Malaysia, quietly signalling the brand’s next chapter in design and mobility. At the newly opened Stars@Mercedes-Benz Bangsar, visitors can explore the car between 15 and 18 January 2026 and get an up-close look at its sleek lines, intelligent systems, and electric powertrain.

2026 marks 140 years since Mercedes-Benz patented the first gasoline-powered automobile, and the CLA represents the brand’s next chapter in a legacy defined by engineering, innovation, and attention to detail. Undoubtedly it serves as a template of how Mercedes-Benz envisions the future of driving. The new model introduces more space, comfort, and refinement than its predecessor, while embracing the possibilities of electric driving.

Intelligence on Board

At the heart of the vehicle is the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), the first in-house platform of its kind for the brand. With AI-enhanced systems and cloud connectivity, the CLA can receive over-the-air updates that keep driving assistance, safety, and infotainment features up to date.

The MBUX Virtual Assistant brings this intelligence to life. Powered by ChatGPT-4o and Google Gemini, the assistant supports complex, multi-turn conversations, responds to short-term memory prompts, and even recognises driver emotions. Navigation questions, personalised insights, and daily interactions are handled seamlessly through the living avatar of the Mercedes-Benz star, making the experience intuitive and human-centred.

Efficient, Confident Driving

Efficiency and usability are key. The Mercedes-Benz CLA achieves 12.2 kWh/100 km, with a WLTP range of up to 792 km, and its 800-volt system allows for rapid recharging—up to 325 km in just ten minutes. Alongside performance, safety remains central: the all-new CLA was named “Best Performer” in Euro NCAP, emerging as the safest car tested in 2025.

Design That Moves

The CLA’s proportions emphasise athletic power and poise. A long wheelbase, short overhangs, and sculpted shoulders create a dynamic stance, while the reinterpreted A-shaped grille features 142 individually animated LED stars, illuminated for the first time on a production vehicle. Inside, a panoramic glass roof offers an expansive view, while practical touches include a 101-litre front trunk and a 405-litre rear luggage compartment.

From innovative technology to emotive design, the CLA signals Mercedes-Benz’s thoughtful approach to electric mobility. It demonstrates how a modern vehicle can balance efficiency, comfort, safety, and expression—without compromise.
