Frasers House Enters The Luxury Collection In Singapore’s Historic Bugis District

Blending cultural legacy with contemporary luxury.

Frasers House has formally joined The Luxury Collection, marking the opening of Frasers House, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Singapore, and the arrival of the brand in the city’s historic Bugis district. Announced on 7 January 2026, the move follows an agreement between Frasers Hospitality and Marriott International and positions the long-established property within a global portfolio known for hotels shaped by place and history.

Located within the culturally layered Bugis precinct, the hotel sits at the intersection of several of Singapore’s most storied neighbourhoods, including Kampong Glam, Arab Street and the Bras Basah–Bugis arts district. Its inclusion in The Luxury Collection makes it the brand’s first property in Singapore’s city centre, adding a locally rooted counterpart to its international collection of heritage-led hotels.

Frasers House

Frasers House will undergo a phased transformation intended to preserve its architectural character while subtly reworking its interiors for contemporary travellers. The building has long been recognised for its elegant façade and Peranakan-influenced design, elements that will remain central to its renewed identity. The approach reflects a broader emphasis on continuity rather than reinvention, with heritage guiding the evolution of the space.

Once complete, Frasers House, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Singapore will offer more than 400 guest rooms and suites, with interiors drawing on the district’s layered cultural references. Artisanal details and contemporary finishes will sit alongside architectural cues that echo Bugis’ multicultural history.

The property will continue to house a range of dining venues, which will gradually evolve to reflect refreshed culinary concepts grounded in local influences. Event spaces totalling approximately 1,000 square metres, including a grand ballroom and the Library, will remain a key feature, accommodating both private and corporate gatherings.

With direct access to Bugis MRT Station and proximity to some of the city’s most established cultural enclaves, Frasers House is set to remain a familiar presence in the district — one that now enters a quieter, considered phase of renewal under The Luxury Collection.
