Royal Selangor Jazz Festival Is Back With A Day Of Soul, Style And Sound

Back for its second year, the event turns up the volume with live music and immersive art and experiences.

Royal Selangor Jazz Festival

Following the rousing success of its inaugural edition, the Royal Selangor Jazz Festival returns on 10 August 2025, bringing a full day of soulful sounds to Kuala Lumpur’s iconic Royal Selangor Visitor Centre. From 10am to 11 pm, the storied pewter gallery transforms into a dynamic stage for Malaysia’s vibrant and evolving jazz scene.

This year’s line-up strikes an even deeper chord, featuring 19 bands across four stages. With 13 hours of music to look forward to, visitors can look forward to standout performances from homegrown legends and music talents.

The roster of performers includes WVC Malaysian Jazz Ensemble, the velvet-voiced Junji Delfino, genre-defying FAZZ, and the ever-magnetic David Gomes.

But the festival offers more than music alone. Visitors can lose themselves in vinyl corners, drop in on intimate jam sessions and explore creative zones as well as artisan booths.

Foodies can savour delicacies from gourmet food trucks, pop-up kitchens and more. Additionally, film screenings and family-friendly experiences add an inclusive, immersive layer to the festivities.

Thoughtfully curated for both seasoned jazz aficionados and curious newcomers, the Royal Selangor Jazz Festival is a celebration of rhythm, heritage, and connection—underscored by the shimmer of pewter.
