F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2024: What Race Car Drivers Are Doing Around Town

We highlight some of the drivers’ activities around Singapore ahead of an exhilarating weekend of racing.

The Marina Bay Street Circuit comes alive again with the excitement and anticipation of the Formula 1 season, from 20 September to 22 September, where race drivers and teams compete in a battle dubbed one of the most challenging races in the F1 calendar.

Besides the top parties and events around the Marina Bay Street Circuit, the drivers have also started to arrive in Singapore to prepare for the eventful weekend ahead. We check out what drivers are up to right before the race weekend begins.

1. Lando Norris takes a walk down Orchard Road

McLaren’s Lando Norris hit the streets of Singapore with a walk down Orchard Road. As fitting as a tourist, he decided to walk down with luggage and a bag in tow.

2. Lewis Hamilton keeping cool with selfies around Singapore

Mercedes F1 driver Lewis Hamilton decided to whip out his selfie stick to capture the various attractions around Singapore, allowing users to chip in on some of the best selfie spots around Singapore.

3. George Russell engages in a game of tennis

The other half of Mercedes, George Russell, chose to play a few rounds of tennis together with the rest of the Mercedes team, which ended with a sudden thunderstorm.

Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas decided to be a little more adventurous in his preparations, with a cycling trip across the border to neighbouring Malaysia.

5. Zhou Guanyu releases a new helmet

The other half of Sauber, Zhou Guanyu, released a new helmet decorated with decals and the Singapore attraction Marina Bay Sands at the back of his helmet.

6. Alex Albon unveils refreshed helmet

In addition to Sauber’s Zhou Guanyu, William’s Alex Albon also refreshed his helmet, which featured ‘The Naga of Courage,’ creating a sense of unwavering strength and confidence in overcoming obstacles and rising to greatness.

7. Esteban Ocon celebrates his birthday in Singapore
