The United States Tennis Association (USTA) announced that it has signed a multi-year partnership renewal with luxury jewellery house Tiffany & Co. to serve as the Official Trophy Partner of the US Open.
The US Open is one of the world’s most thrilling sporting events and serves up an electric atmosphere as the fourth and final Grand Slam tournament of the season. Attracting an impassioned crowd every year, this year’s edition at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York will take place from 28th August to 10th September.
As part of its long-term commitment to the sport that has extended for over 35 years, Tiffany & Co. has been the Official Trophy Partner since 1986. This time, Tiffany & Co. will craft trophies featured throughout the US Open, including the keepsake trophies for the men’s and women’s singles champions. The keepsake trophies are equal-sized replicas crafted for each champion to take home as a personal, permanent commemoration of their victories.
For the first time, Tiffany & Co. will oversee the on-site, immediate hand-engraving of both the men’s and women’s singles keepsake trophies. Each singles champion will now be able to leave the US Open with their engraved, keepsake trophy in hand.
As part of the festivities, Tiffany & Co. will craft the Lifetime Achievement and Leadership Awards for two deserving women. These awards will be presented at the Champions of Equality Event during the women’s semifinals on September 7th.
Additionally, Tiffany & Co. will be showcasing displays of the iconic Tiffany Blue tennis balls, a Snap AR Mirror, and replica trophies for the USTA men’s and women’s singles championships.
The US Open trophies are exquisitely crafted each year at Tiffany’s workshop in Cumberland, Rhode Island. They serve as a stunning tribute to the tournament and a testament to the exceptional artistry of Tiffany & Co.
