Hennessy X.O, the globally renowned cognac, and recognised local business leaders are collaborating in Greatness is an Odyssey, a celebration of the exceptional quality of outstanding leadership amongst the younger generation of entrepreneurs across Malaysia. The celebration will showcase the elegance and prestige of Hennessy X.O, while highlighting the innovation and success of these exceptional business leaders. It will be hosted by five business leaders in four major states across Malaysia and give attendees a chance to network and learn from the success stories of these exceptional individuals.

The five featured business leaders are Leon Lee, CEO of Zeon Properties Group; Choong Pin Hoong, Director of Syarikat Letrik Chen Guan Sdn Bhd; Dato’ Sri Edwin Tan Pei Seng, Executive Chairman of Paragon Globe Bhd and Group Managing Director of Joland Group; Andy Yek Hock Siang, Managing Director of C.R.W.N Idea Sdn Bhd; and Roland Chua, Group CEO of Kin Ho Group. These pioneering members have also been recognised with the prestigious first-ever ACCCIM Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs Model Award.

Each speaker will host over 200 guests at each event where they will share their secrets to success and inspire the next generation of Malaysian business leaders with Hennessy X.O. The first event will take place later this month and be hosted by Dato’ Sri Edwin Tan. Under his leadership, Joland Group has expanded its borders over the last decade, leading its growth from a small developer with projects under the Paragon brand into a diversified conglomerate with stakes in hospitality, education and retail mall management. He advocates for an open-minded management team with strong talent to encourage progress and innovation within the company.
Based in Johor, Roland Chua of Kin Ho Group has been interested in wood production and pallet manufacturing since childhood. His company, now in its 40th year of operations, has remained adaptable to the changing market and kept up with technological developments, running on the combined knowledge and experience of its team members. Chua prioritises efficiencies and oversees the company’s evolution and consistent integration of modern technology to foster its gradual transition into Industrial Revolution 4.0 mode by 2023.
Leon Lee oversaw the growth of Zeon Properties Group from a humble Penang-based company to a nationwide leader in its field, offering a complete spectrum of property-related products and services. An advocate of collective intelligence who values the unique qualities of every hire, Lee emphasises sustainability, comprehensive planning and green concepts by using sustainable materials in his work.
Two years after graduating from university in 2009, Choong Pin Hoong of Syarikat Letrik Chen Guan ventured into his family’s business, a Selangor-based mechanical and electrical contractor company. Now its director, he champions the philosophy that “one must have the guts to invest in failures”. Combining old and new approaches in a traditional industry means giving his team more opportunities to take ownership and leadership in their roles and company-related decisions, and providing them with the necessary tools to do so.
Andy Yek of C.R.W.N Idea got his career start in construction, where his passion for home makeovers bloomed. It was this very passion that influenced the trajectory of his career, inspiring him to set out on his own. Originally from Bintulu, Sarawak, Yek rapidly grew his business across the East Malaysian state. Within two decades, he moved into producing his own line of sanitary ware, kitchenware, and home improvement products under the Gucini name.
