In an homage to its heritage and rebellious beginnings, The Glenlivet is hosting a unique, immersive experience at The Five, Damansara Heights, that is set inside a ‘bothy’ (in Scotland, a small hut or cottage) as a nod to the one where founder George Smith, first honed his craft in.
Situated on Level 2 of The Five, The Glenlivet Bothy, which is on-going until 6 August, transports guests to the remote and idyllic Livet valley in the Scottish Highlands, where the whisky first came to be. Guests will be taken through the history of The Glenlivet and walked through the production process of creating uisge beatha (water of life), or the Scotch whisky as we know it today.
The experience culminates in a unique tasting session where guests will have the opportunity to taste a range of whiskies from The Glenlivet, as well as redeem a cocktail capsule expertly crafted by the team at Rakh and inspired by the key flavours of The Glenlivet range of whiskies. For those who purchase any bottle of The Glenlivet, they can opt to personalise the label for a bottle that is uniquely their own.
Adding to the entire journey, several nearby outlets are also offering different The Glenlivet tasting experiences such as pairing menus, tasting flights and even exclusive cocktails. Guests who partake in each activity will be able to collect stamps and complete ‘The Original Trail’ passport to redeem special gifts from the Bothy, including a bottle of The Glenlivet 12 Year Old.
