Singapore’s Italian culinary destination, Acqua E Farina, has released its Christmas menu ahead of the festive season, promising to transport you to Italy.

Established in 2016, Acqua E Farina, which means “water and flour” in Italian, seeks to bring Italy‘s taste and authentic flavours to the sunny island of Singapore. Through a unique culinary journey through Italy, it showcases the best of the country’s diverse regional cuisines.

Since opening at The Rail Mail in the Upper Bukit Timah area, chefs Antonio Manetto from Naples and Roberto Galbiati from Milan have dedicated themselves to using high-quality ingredients, including Italian-imported products and seasonal produce, to create dishes that honour the simplicity, tradition, and rich heritage of Italian cooking.

Their second outlet at Keong Saik Road, which blends Northern and Southern Italian flavours, reflects both chefs’ deep-rooted passion and creativity as they cook up a storm and bring their culinary visions to life.

At Acqua E Farina, guests will be entertained with a treat to an array of exclusive holiday dishes that bring the authentic flavours of Italy, ensuring a feast that guests will never forget.

For instance, guests can indulge in the Tagliolini agli Scampi, which in Italian crayfish or “Scampi”, is an Italian delicacy that is often reserved for special occasions such as Christmas whereby a moreish pasta dish combines a house-made egg tagliolini pasta with Italian crayfish or “Scampi”, bathed in a sumptuous bisque with a hint of cream.

In addition, for a show-stopping main course, guests could savour the Costolette di Vitello, a six-hour slow-cooked and pan-fried Dutch veal chop served with Italian bacon “Pancetta,” fragrant sage, and a medley of seasonal vegetables and potatoes.

Paired with a delectable white wine sauce that elevates the whole dish, guests will indulge in a culinary experience that delights the senses with an intense craving upon each bite.

Delightful gourmet offerings

Christmas is not complete without the company of family and friends. Through excellent crafting by the two Chef-Owners, they have created an array of exclusive holiday dishes that bring the authentic flavours of Italy into the comfort of home.

For instance, guests can indulge in the Tacchino Ripieno. This stuffed turkey has been deboned for easy carving and generously filled with a deliciously savoury blend of minced chicken, chestnuts, and mushrooms, deeply rooted in Italian Christmas traditions.

In addition, pasta and rice lovers can indulge in a curated selection of dishes to elevate their holiday spread, such as the Lasagne al Forno, a homemade oven-baked classic beef lasagna, and the Riso al Forno allo Zafferano, a fragrant oven-baked saffron rice with vegetables and shrimp.

Acqua E Farina’s Christmas menu is currently available on their website. Dine-ins and takeaways are available at both outlets from Tuesdays to Saturdays (including Public Holidays) starting from 4 December 2024 to 1 January 2025.

In addition, for guests opting for takeaways, orders can be placed at one outlet and collected from either location, offering added flexibility for convenience.
