The Dalmore Marks Its 180th-Anniversary By Introducing A Rare USD71,000 Bottle Of Whisky

The Dalmore Aged 51 Years demonstrates the brand’s dedication and expertise in creating a complex and truly unique whisky.

The Dalmore’s celebrated a new chapter in its 180-year history by introducing a rare limited-edition single malt whisky called The Dalmore Aged 51 Years which carries a price tag of USD71,000 (MYR294,032).

Indeed, judging from its rarity and price, this is no ordinary debut as The Dalmore Aged 51 Years as the brand has pulled out all the stops to make this release extra special.

Each bottle is housed within an exquisitely decorated hand-crafted sycamore case that is lined with quilted leather. Customised crystal decanters with polished silver stoppers hold the rich mahogany gold liquid content.

The limited-edition single malt was originally distilled back in 1966 and was aged in a mix of casks that began in American White Oak ex-bourbon casks before it was apportioned in Port Colheita 1938 casks and exclusive Matusalem sherry casks.

Developing the complex flavours that make this unique whisky was challenging given its ageing process took literally decades to get just right.

Having been founded in 1867, The Dalmore has had many years to perfect its craft using the finest quality casks and sourcing from the very best bodegas and wineries.

Only 51 decanters of this limited edition will be available via select specialist retailers around the world from March 2020 onwards. For more information visit The Dalmore’s website.
