Taking inspiration from legendary British sports cars such as the Lotus Elise and Jaguar E-Type, Longbow is set to redefine the automotive segment. Founded by ex-Tesla and Lucid execs, the brand is staking its claim as UK’s first electric sports car manufacturer. It’s also pioneering the groundbreaking Featherweight Electric Vehicle (FEV) category.
The company has already lifted the covers of its first two models – the Speedster and Roadster. Both combine the best of British lightweight engineering with cutting-edge electric performance, creating an entirely new breed of driving experience.
Taking inspiration from sports car icons, both models are engineered to be agile, beautifully designed, and engineered for driving purity. Their lightweight construction, impeccable craftsmanship, and advanced electric drivetrains set them apart from conventional electric vehicles.
Lightweight And Responsive

Roadster.
Weighing less than 995kg, both vehicles offer a unique performance-to-weight ratio, making them nimble and responsive on the road. The Speedster and Roadster are built on a bespoke platform, featuring a lightweight aluminium chassis for maximum stiffness and minimal weight. Both cars are designed to offer exceptional feedback and handling.
The Speedster for instance weighs in at just 895kg gifting it a 0-100kmh sprint in 3.5 seconds and a range of 440km. Only 150 hand-built examples will be made, with exclusive Luminary 1st Edition and Autograph Edition models available. Longbow’s other model, the Roadster features a closed cockpit, which adds 10 kilos to its overall weight.
Nevertheless, it only effects performance marginally with the century sprint clocked in 3.6 seconds. There will be 50 Luminary 1st Edition models and 100 Autograph Edition models available for reservation. Each car will be priced at ₤84,995 and ₤64,995 respectively.
Reviving The British Sports Car

The company was founded by Daniel Davey, Jenny Keisu, Mark Tapscott.
Bringing Longbow to life has been a shared ambition of its founders – Daniel Davey, Mark Tapscott, and Jenny Keisu. The trio have years of experience in the automotive, technology, and investment sectors. Their vision for Longbow is simple – to bring back the true essence of driving with a lightweight electric sports car that delivers real performance, agility, and joy on the road.
“Many modern electric sports cars are over 1,500kg, and we believe there’s a need for a more driver-oriented, lightweight alternative,” states Davey. “Longbow’s cars embody everything a modern driver’s car should be—agile, balanced, and exhilarating. We’re reviving the lightweight British sports car, reimagined for the electric age.”
Both cars feature an all-electric drivetrain, offering a thrilling driving experience that blends speed, agility, and efficiency. The lightweight design allows for more compact motors and batteries, making these the world’s first true all-electric sports cars for the modern enthusiast.
All Longbow models will be designed, engineered, and hand-built in the UK, leveraging the country’s world-class engineering expertise and proximity to leading motorsport teams.
