In the heart of Phuket, a tropical paradise unfolds as internationally acclaimed architect Martin Palleros, the founder of Tierra Design, leads the design of Gardens of Eden — a nature-inspired luxury destination by Amal Development. This visionary project, spanning 122,000 sqm of lush landscape just 50m from Bang Tao Beach, is set to redefine the paradigm of luxury living.
Palleros, renowned for his enlightened approach to blending human interaction with nature and mentored by design legend Kerry Hill, brings his mastery of biophilic design to Gardens of Eden. “As an architect, my focus is on the building as a sculpture, and as a landscape architect, I look at the context and space,” says Palleros. This dual perspective is evident in every aspect of Eden Residences, an exclusive enclave within Gardens of Eden.
Eden Residences, currently in its first phase of construction, offers 141 beachfront residences, including one- to three-bedroom apartments and four-bedroom penthouses. The architectural and landscaping prowess showcased in this tropical oasis sets a new standard for condominium projects globally, with 70 per cent of the land dedicated to natural open green spaces.
Luxury, as Palleros defines it, transcends trends and finds its essence in the timeless relationship between architecture and nature. “The abundance of nature is a luxury in itself,” he emphasises. Residents of Eden Residences are invited to embrace the healing energy of green living, surrounded by the organic flow of nature.
Amal Development’s mission is to provide a haven of green, nature-inspired living for a growing international community of residents and investors. Phuket’s high-performance sectors have showcased a proven track record, consistently drawing Thai institutional capital and garnering interest from overseas private equity, family office, and publicly listed investors.
Tierra Design’s commitment to creating memorable, timeless spaces is evident in the meticulous integration of architecture and landscape architecture. The front of Eden Residences faces the Andaman Sea, while the back overlooks a beautiful canal, creating a harmonious dialogue with different aspects of nature. Natural materials such as carbon-negative wood, timber cladding, and locally sourced granite stone reinforce the project’s sustainable vision.
White Jacket, an award-winning design studio based in Singapore, complements the interior design of Eden Residences. Led by founder Patricia Ho Douven, the studio draws inspiration from the serenity and activity of Bang Tao Beach, incorporating elements representing local animals and culture into bespoke furniture and accessories.
Douven highlights the studio’s commitment to prioritising space and a sense of place in interior designs. “Eden Residences is an inspiration for those who love to immerse themselves in nature and mindfulness, appreciating a fully functional yet luxurious design style,” she adds.
Gardens of Eden is not just a development; it’s a celebration of luxury intertwined with nature — a haven that transcends the conventional and sets a new benchmark for tropical retreats. As the first phase with 141 units unfolds in December, the world eagerly anticipates the unveiling of this unparalleled masterpiece in Phuket.
