Relax Your Mind, Body And Senses With Royal Selangor’s New Collection

Clear your mind, open your senses and relieve your stress with Royal Selangor’s Sense collection.

They say a good cup of tea can help you unwind after a long hard day’s work at the office. That is exactly the feeling that Royal Selangor hopes to evoke in its latest mix media lifestyle collection, Sense.

On the whole, the collection wouldn’t look out of place next to a Japanese raked stone garden, standing perfectly with the only hint of motion represented by the lines in the sand that resemble ripples on water. Looking at it closely, Royal Selangor’s collection comprises of a teapot, teacup pair, standing bell, incense stand, and a tealight pair, the entire collection aims to bring a sense of peace and relaxation into your home while enhancing your well-being.

At the centre of the collection is the teapot which features a satin black fine china lid and bamboo handle, acting as an elegant vessel for your favourite breakfast tea or fragrant green tea. Like the tea it holds, its design blends seamlessly into any living space.

The pair of Sense teacups combine the quiet elegance of glazed stain black fine china and the tactile warmth of a subtly textured pewter. Perfectly suited for a contemplative cup of tea, the cup sits comfortably in the palm of your hand as you take your next relaxing sip of tea.

Complementing the teapot and teacups are the tealights and incense holders, both of which are essential in enhancing your mood for relaxation. The Sense tealight combines the rustic feel of yellow pine with a collar of pewter. It is sculpted to softly catch and reflect the light of the dancing flame, allowing you to add your favourite scent to the room.

Meanwhile, the Sense incense holder consists of a peg of yellow pine and a pewter bowl that is designed to hold a stick of incense upright.

Once you have satisfied your sense of taste and smell, it may be time for the ‘sound’ of healing. Cast in pewter, the bell includes a pebble-shaped stand and a simple mallet, both in yellow pine.

The soothing tone of the standing bell is believed to influence the body’s chakras via sound and evoking a sense of well-being. Roya Selangor enlisted the expertise of the Enryakuji monastery on Japan’s Mount Hiei to create a soothing tone.

You may view the new Sense collection at any Royal Selangor retail store, authorised dealer and online.
