The Michael Owen Football Camp is heading back to Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort for a second year, running from 31 March to 3 April 2026 as part of the resort’s Easter holiday programme. Following a successful debut in 2025, children and teens aged 5 to 13 will once again have the chance to train with the former England striker on the pristine pitches of Fares Island in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Baa Atoll.
The four-day camp blends daily football coaching, skills development, and team challenges, culminating in a celebratory finale with certificates, medals, and jersey signings. Participants receive a full official football kit, including two customised jerseys, shorts, and socks. The camp is complimentary for guests staying at the resort during the event.

Beyond the pitch, the resort offers a full family experience. Younger guests can enjoy creative activities at AvaniKids and Teens Club, while Petit Bistro provides a kid-friendly dining experience. Families can also explore the surrounding waters with snorkelling, diving, and water sports at this award-winning dive destination.

Accommodations range from interconnecting Pavilion rooms and Beach Pool Villas to overwater villas and two- or three-bedroom Over Water Pool Residences. Packages start from USD 3,500 for a family of four, including accommodation, seaplane transfers, and camp registration.
