Riding a bicycle has been a popular form of exercise for decades, rising in popularity in the 1980s and 1990s when mountain biking became a sport, followed by increased interest in bicycle racing later on.

As fitness centres across the country and even apartment complex gyms remain closed temporarily, those wishing to stay fit quickly looked for other alternatives. Since exercising alone was a better way to reduce risk from the pandemic, biking solo was among the activities folks embraced amid the pandemic.

The recent spike in COVID-19 infection number saw even cycling being prohibited but now, looks like solo biking is on the cards again! So, what’s stopping you? A study by sports equipment giant Nike showed that people with an active lifestyle had a wellbeing score of 32 per cent higher than inactive individuals. For consistent cyclists, it works like meditation and helps them concentrate!
