Set against the refined backdrop of the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre, Royal Selangor hosted an intimate media preview on 23 April, offering a first look at its Spring/Summer 2026 collections. The gathering, though modest in size, allowed for a closer, more considered appreciation of the brand’s evolving design language and craftsmanship.
The afternoon opened with remarks by Datuk Yong Yoon Li, who welcomed guests and set the tone for the season ahead — one that balances heritage with contemporary storytelling. Opening the showcase was the Earth extension by Rachel Gray, a continuation of the brand’s ongoing collaboration with the designer.
Nature & Culture

Building on earlier works, the collection further explores themes drawn from the natural world, expressed through intricately crafted wildlife figurines and thoughtfully designed homeware. The result is a series that deepens Royal Selangor’s engagement with environmental awareness and artistic expression.
Rooted closer to home, the introduction of the Gasing series offered a sculptural tribute to the traditional Malaysian spinning top. Guests were encouraged to participate in the gasing session, where many soon found themselves fully engrossed in the game — an interactive highlight that added a tactile dimension to the presentation.
Licensed Offerings

Pop culture and global milestones also found their place within the line-up. The Winnie the Pooh 100th Anniversary collection charmed with its nostalgic appeal, celebrating a century of the beloved character. Meanwhile, new Star Wars limited edition busts arrived at a particularly timely moment, coinciding with heightened anticipation surrounding The Mandalorian and Grogu.

Looking ahead, Royal Selangor also tapped into the global excitement of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026™ with an officially licensed collection that merges sport with collectible design.
Rounding out the showcase were additions to the Domaine drinkware line, including an elegant new decanter, as well as the Trophies for Champions series — neoclassical pieces reimagined for modern recognition and achievement.

Altogether, the preview presented a cohesive yet diverse collection, reflecting Royal Selangor’s ability to bridge tradition, culture and contemporary relevance. In an intimate setting that encouraged closer interaction, the brand’s latest offerings felt both personal and forward-looking, setting a confident tone for the season ahead.
