Italian motorcycle specialists Ducati and British automaker Bentley have just unveiled a collaborative two-wheeler made possible by the marques’ ownership under the Volkswagen Group.

Behold the Ducati Diavel for Bentley, a limited-edition release that takes the high-performance technical base of the Diavel V4 and integrates its livery with the elegance of the Bentley Batur.

The aggressive lines of the devilishly powerful Diavel, which draws its ludicrous performance from a 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine putting out 168 horses, have been softened with tweaks to better resemble Bentley’s most powerful production car yet.

Components throughout the length of the motorbike, ranging from the front mudguard, fairing, and fuel tank up front to the single-seater tail at its rear, have been fashioned better to evoke the handcrafted curves of the Bentley Batur.

The most overt of these changes can be seen on the bike’s side air intakes, deliberately manufactured to echo the Batur’s iconic two-tone front grille.

The resemblances extend to the Diavel’s black Alcantara leather seat, which has an underlying red fabric designed to mimic the texture of its automotive inspiration’s seats. This inspiration gets another pointed reminder: A Bentley logo embroidered on the bike’s rear pad.

In recognition of the brands’ shared exclusivity, the Ducati Diavel for Bentley will be kept to a strictly limited series of just 500 examples, with each model number etched onto the carbon fibre cover of the vertical steering head on the motorcycle’s right side.

A further 50 examples will be reserved for customers of Bentley’s in-house bespoke division, Mulliner. Naturally, these entail customisable colours for the front saddle, brake callipers, carbon fibre elements, and rims. There’s even the option of getting a livery that matches their car and access to an exclusive colourway for the collaboration.

For a further dash of cachet, the 550 owners of the Ducati Diavel for Bentley will get exclusive access to a capsule collection consisting of a jet helmet and technical leather jacket, available in both his and her versions.
