Shanghainese Peddlers Gin

The Ruma Chinese New Year

In conjunction with the Lunar New Year, The RuMa introduces Peddlers Gin Company—an award-winning craft gin maker from Shanghai. Peddlers is inspired by the Shanghai underground, and is China’s first craft gin. It boasts diversity in its ingredients, infused with notes of Sichuan pepper, Buddha’s hand, lotus flower, Xinjiang almonds, Guangdong liquorice, Chinese cassia and coriander seeds.

Three varieties of Peddlers will be offered at SEVEN Lobby Bar: Craft Gin, Salted Plum Gin & Barrel Aged Gin. To celebrate its launch, there will be a battle between two house favourites: the best-selling Malaysian-made Ginfused Asam Boi versus Peddlers Salted Plum—a Chinese take on sloe gin infused with salted plum, mulberry, orange peel and osmanthus, aged in Oloroso sherry barrels. The battle package of both gins will leave guests to determine the ultimate winner between these two unique spirits. This gin flight is priced at MYR100 nett.
