Before you know it we'll be welcoming Chinese New Year. It is one of the important celebrations for feasting and celebrating as we look forward to a happy and prosperous year of the Rabbit. This year, the festival falls on Sunday, January 22nd and the CNY reunion dinner will be held on the day before. It is considered the most memorable get-together meal of the entire year with family, relatives or colleagues.

Here we have some great places that offer an array of unique dishes to usher in the Year of the Rabbit. The menus feature exquisite Chinese cuisine, sure to satisfy your appetite.

Celebrate the auspicious Year of the Water Rabbit with loved ones at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur as the award-winning Lai Po Heen presents an enticing array of yee sang selections and festive menus to usher in the Chinese New Year. From now to 26th January 2023, the hotel presents a line-up of season-inspired dining.

No Lunar New Year celebration is complete without the traditional toss to abundance, good fortune, and health with ‘lou hei’, also known as yee sang, a prosperity dish unique to Malaysia during the festivity.

Lai Po Heen offers diners a selection of six enticing yee sang, namely MO Lucky Rabbit Yee Sang presented in a shape of a rabbit, with connective significance to the new year. All Yee Sang’s are available during lunch and dinner and are priced from RM 168 to 260 for half portion and RM 336 to 520 for full portion while the MO Lucky Rabbit Yee Sang is priced at RM 1,000 for full portion. For memorable reunions, Lai Po Heen offers four exquisite set menus namely Fortune, Prosperity, Wealth, and Seasons Peace that are priced at RM 388+, RM 528+, RM 728+ and RM 988+ per person respectively.
