The goalpost for open-air sports cars has just moved and we can all thank Aston Martin for it. The luxury performance car maker has just lifted the covers off its new Vantage Roadster. And judging by its impressive spec sheet it stands as the most potent front-engine, rear-wheel drive convertible available at the moment.

Open Top Motoring At Its Best

Vantage Roadster

The Roadster is powered by the Aston Martin 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine.

As the convertible stablemate of the world-beating Vantage Coupe, the model continues the marque’s shift in sector defining luxury and dynamic credentials. The new Vantage Roadster enhances the real driving experience even further courtesy of its lightweight design.

Delivering 665PS/800Nm courtesy of a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine, the Roadster brings all the class leading performance, dynamic sensations and visual excitement of the coupe, with an additional dimension of top-down freedom and thrills for those addicted to open air motoring.

The model delivers a world-class roof-down driving experience like no other.

As beautiful as its hard top companion, the new model boasts a minimal weight increase. Its total weight delta is reportedly only 60kg including roof and all structural enhancements. The model also has bragging rights to the fastest operating fully automatic roof on the market – opening or closing fully in just 6.8 seconds, and at speeds of up to 50kmh.

Like the Vantage Coupe, the Roadster also benefits from technical reinventions. Amongst others, the model arrives with industry-leading Active Vehicle Dynamics, Electronic Rear Differential (E-diff), Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers with bespoke tuning. Top speed remains the same as Vantage Coupe at 325kmh, 0-100kmh in 3.5 seconds.

High Tech Intuitive Interior

Key features include the fastest fully automatic deployable roof mechanism on the market today.

Inside like its Coupe counterpart, the Roadster is the latest to feature Aston Martin’s next-generation infotainment. Created in-house and first introduced on the DB12, it is entirely bespoke and developed in-house from scratch.

The system combines a fully integrated multi-screen system with full online connectivity. Its 10.25” Pure Black touchscreen offers full capacitive single and multi-finger gesture control. Touchscreen commands remain balanced with the tactility of physical switches. Buttons however are retained for key mechanical operations such as gear and drive selection, heating and ventilation.

There are also control switches for Chassis, ESP and Exhaust, Active Safety System settings and Park Distance Control. Supplemented by a new Aston Martin customer connectivity app supporting iOS and Android devices, it allows interaction, control and feedback through their personal device. An Aston Martin 390w 11 speaker audio system is fitted as standard.

Deliveries for the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster will begin in Q2 of 2025.
