With summer in full swing in many parts of the world, several watch brands are releasing timepieces in cheery, bright colours — especially timely since joy is something we could do with more of right now. To put watch fans in the mood for some fun in the sun, Oris, Breitling and Hublot are offering mechanical timepieces in pastel hues, and some interesting case materials to boot (think bronze and aluminium).
The best part is that here in Singapore and Malaysia, our eternal summer means that it won’t feel inappropriate for you to sport these tickers year-round — or whenever you feel like some cheerful wrist candy. Here’s a closer look at these timepieces.

03: Oris Divers Sixty-Five “Cotton Candy”
Things are pretty intense in the world right now. Watch-buying shouldn’t be. That’s why Oris had a pretty simple goal when it created this trio of preppy pieces: “To bring a smile.” We love that it used bronze, which is often reserved for serious dive watches, as the material for these 38mm timepieces, which feature dials in pastel shades of blue, green and pink.
The collection is a fun follow-up to the Holstein Edition 2020, which saw Oris launch the first Swiss watch with an all-bronze case, bezel, crown and bracelet. These elements are repeated in the Cotton Candy watches, which are also available on a leather strap with a bronze buckle. The watches are water-resistant to 100m, and are powered by the Oris 733 automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve.
The Oris Divers Sixty-Five “Cotton Candy ” models retail for 2,500 Swiss francs (metal bracelet, about RM11,449) or 2,200 Swiss francs (leather strap, about RM10,075).
