Three Pastel Mechanical Timepiece Ranges for Watch Fans who Love Colour

Brighten your collection with summery offerings from Breitling, Hublot and Oris.

With summer in full swing in many parts of the world, several watch brands are releasing timepieces in cheery, bright colours — especially timely since joy is something we could do with more of right now. To put watch fans in the mood for some fun in the sun, Oris, Breitling and Hublot are offering mechanical timepieces in pastel hues, and some interesting case materials to boot (think bronze and aluminium).

The best part is that here in Singapore and Malaysia, our eternal summer means that it won’t feel inappropriate for you to sport these tickers year-round — or whenever you feel like some cheerful wrist candy. Here’s a closer look at these timepieces.

01: Breitling Superocean Heritage ’57 Pastel Paradise capsule collection

When it was launched in 1957, Breitling’s original time-only SuperOcean dive watch was designed for the guy who wanted to look snazzy while hanging out on the beach. Taking its inspiration from that model more than six decades on, the brand’s latest capsule collection comprises five 38mm steel models in aquamarine, mint green, beige, white, and white with multicoloured “rainbow” elements.

Powered by the COSC-certified, automatic Breitling Calibre 10 with a power reserve of 42 hours, each timepiece features a bezel with a matching ceramic insert and matching Saffiano leather strap. And while it’s not meant for actual diving, its 100m water-resistance makes it a delightful companion for beachcombing or just, you know, handwashing.

The Breitling Superocean Heritage ’57 Pastel Paradise models retail for RM19,350.
