For decades, Rolex has celebrated human achievement and the pursuit of excellence on water, supporting sailors, regattas, and groundbreaking feats of exploration. From the legendary Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race and Fastnet Race to the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup and the Rolex Swan Cup, the Maison honours resilience, precision, and teamwork — qualities mirrored by its fleet of Testimonees, including Sir Ben Ainslie, Paul Cayard, Robert Scheidt, and modern-day SailGP stars Hannah Mills, Tom Slingsby, and Martine Grael.

Through its Title Partnership of the Rolex SailGP Championship, Rolex continues to champion innovation in sailing, where the world’s best compete on identical supercharged F50 foiling catamarans across some of the planet’s most iconic waters.

The 2025 Rolex SailGP Championship concluded this weekend in Abu Dhabi after an exhilarating 12-event season spanning four continents. Emirates GBR SailGP Team, guided by strategist and Rolex Testimonee Hannah Mills, emerged as champions following one of the most unpredictable finals in the series’ history. The British team clinched victory with a decisive move at the penultimate corner, also securing their second consecutive Impact League title, a first in SailGP history.

Reflecting on the achievement, Mills said: “It’s wild. I can’t actually believe it. The racing is so hard, and we executed what we wanted to do. When I stand on top of the podium, it’s always the people who helped me get there that come to mind — my family, coaches, and team.”

Innovation, Performance and Global Reach

The 2025 season saw eight of the 12 teams achieve victories, with record-breaking moments including a speed of 103.93 km/h in Sassnitz, Germany, and a debut event on Lake Geneva — home to Rolex. From T-Foil introductions to pivotal athlete changes, the season tested even the most seasoned sailors.

Rolex Testimonee Martine Grael, the championship’s first female driver, celebrated her inaugural race win in New York, reflecting on a season of growth: “The learning curve has been steep, but every challenge has strengthened our understanding of the F50 and deepened the trust we’ve built with one another.”

Tom Slingsby, also a Rolex Testimonee and BONDS Flying Roos driver, added: “Having Rolex as Title Partner elevates the profile of our competition and brings sailing into the broader sporting conversation.”

As attention turns to the 2026 season with new venues, 13 F50 catamarans, and cutting-edge technologies, the Rolex SailGP Championship continues to redefine performance, precision, and innovation on and off the water.
