Formula 1 style does not have to stay at the circuit. PUMA and McLaren Mastercard’s new lifestyle collection takes the visual language of the team beyond the paddock, reworking it for the street.
Inspired by the electric glow of the Singapore Night Race, the capsule moves away from McLaren’s familiar Papaya orange in favour of a striking white-and-blue palette. The result is a cooler, more understated interpretation of the team’s racing identity, with comfort and versatility at its core.
The collection also looks closer to home. Traditional Southeast Asian weave patterns are incorporated into contemporary streetwear, bringing regional design heritage into a collection otherwise rooted in global motorsport.
Key pieces include a navy varsity jacket with contrasting white sleeves and McLaren Formula 1 Team lettering across the back, alongside a women’s cropped tee and a unisex tee. Both jerseys feature the McLaren wordmark and a distinctive ‘SINGAPURA exclusive’ tag.
Rather than replicate traditional race-day merchandise, the collection takes familiar McLaren codes and makes them more adaptable to everyday dressing.
“We wanted to create something different with this collection,” says Gabriel Yap, Senior Director of Marketing at PUMA Southeast Asia, pointing to the white-and-blue palette inspired by the Singapore Night Race and the emphasis on comfort and versatility.
The approach reflects how motorsport continues to influence fashion beyond the track. Here, McLaren’s racing identity meets Southeast Asian design cues to create pieces intended to work long after the lights go out.
The PUMA McLaren Mastercard F1 Lifestyle Collection is available in Malaysia from 15 September 2026 at PUMA’s online store and selected PUMA stores. Prices range from RM249 for the cropped jersey to RM699 for the varsity jacket.
