03 CASIO G-SHOCK MRG-G2000HT

Limited to just 500 pieces worldwide, the MRG-G2000HT from Casio poses as a perfect blend of traditional technique and advanced technology. The watch features a unique Connected Engine Three-Way module that promises to keep accurate time anywhere in the world, using a combination of radio waves and GPS satellite time calibration signals, as well as time servers that are connected via pairing the watch with one’s smart phone. Hidden within the dial is a unique self-charging Tough Solar power system that is capable of converting any light source into power, allowing the watch to stay charged for up to 23 months by activating the power-saving function. Balancing all this modernity is the watch’s distinctive design, which features a distinctive oboro-gin (silver-grey) finish on the band and buttons similar to the ones found in Japanese sword accessories and ornaments, and an exquisite ‘hammer tone’ metal-hammered finish in deep ‘Japan Blue’, executed by Bihou Asano, a third-generation master artisan who specialises in the extremely complex forging technique known as tsuiki.
