The country wardrobe has always carried a certain romance: tweed, waxed jackets, sturdy knits and clothes designed for a life spent outdoors. For Autumn/Winter 2026, Hackett London revisits those familiar codes without treating them as nostalgia.
Set against the rugged landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, the brand’s latest campaign follows a group of friends leaving the city behind. Driving open roads, fishing by the lake, riding motorcycles and spending time with their dogs, the scenes present the countryside less as an escape into the past than as another setting for contemporary life.
Heritage, Reworked

The landscape informs the collection’s palette of light neutrals, earthy tones and deeper winter shades, while texture provides much of its character. Moleskin, warm flannel and refined knits bring softness and depth to a wardrobe designed for colder days.
At its centre is Hackett’s archival “Horse and Hound” check tweed, a pattern dating to 1999. Its dense texture and distinctive check give the collection a recognisable British country vocabulary, but the surrounding pieces keep the proposition firmly in the present.
Outerwear takes particular prominence, with suede rib gilets, wax field jackets, shearling bombers and water-resistant jackets giving the wardrobe a practical edge.
Built For The Journey

That sense of movement is also reflected in Hackett’s “Tailored for Travel” range, where traditional tailoring is adapted to the demands of modern life.
Crease-resistant, thermoregulating and natural-stretch fabrics appear across lightweight outerwear, easy-care shirts and relaxed jersey tailoring. The result is clothing that retains the polish associated with Hackett while allowing for a less formal, more fluid way of dressing.

It is a useful distinction. The modern country wardrobe does not necessarily belong to someone who lives in the countryside. It can belong to anyone looking for clothes that move easily between a weekend road trip, an outdoor afternoon and the return journey to the city.
In that sense, the Highlands provide more than a picturesque backdrop for Autumn/Winter 2026. They become a testing ground for an idea of British dressing that is rooted in heritage, but ultimately designed for the way men move now.
The Hackett London AW26 collection is now available in Malaysia.
