Renowned Franco-Swiss watchmaker Bell & Ross has introduced a sophisticated new addition to its BR 05 collection with the launch of the BR 05 36mm. This latest release marks a significant evolution in the line’s design, offering a more compact and refined option for urban watch enthusiasts, particularly appealing to women and admirers of chic, sporty timepieces.
Since its inception in 2019, the model has been celebrated for its urban versatility, merging elegance with a sporty edge. Now, with a 36mm case and a slender 8.5mm profile, the BR 05 enters a new dimension—one that emphasises both subtlety and sophistication.
“Every millimetre counts, every millimetre is noticeable,” says Bruno Belamich, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Bell & Ross. The challenge, he explains, was to miniaturise the BR 05 without compromising its identity. This meant re-engineering every component of the timepiece, from the case’s iconic structure to the seamless integration of the bracelet.
Urban Elegance
The decision to introduce a smaller BR 05 comes as a response to changing consumer expectations. “Design isn’t just about ideas; it’s about choices,” says Belamich. “We wanted to rework the proportions to better suit all wrist types and make the collection more accessible to women.” The result is a watch that maintains the hallmark features of the BR 05 while offering enhanced comfort, elegance, and versatility.
Beyond size, personality plays a central role in the new BR 05 36mm. Dial legibility—a core principle of the Bell & Ross design ethos—remains paramount. The watch features refined hands and prominent numerals, with applied indices filled with white Super-LumiNova for optimal visibility. The dials, offered in a range of finishes including black, grey, ice blue, and mother-of-pearl, provide varied yet consistently stylish expressions of the BR 05 identity.

The attention to detail continues with the case and bracelet finishes. Angular lines, satin-brushed surfaces, and polished bevels work in harmony to enhance the watch’s depth and structure. The steel bracelet, with its remarkable suppleness, is engineered for comfort, ensuring a snug and flattering fit on any wrist.
Functionality remains at the heart of the BR 05 36mm. It features a clean, three-hand display—hours, minutes, and seconds—driven by a new mechanical self-winding movement with a 54-hour power reserve. Skeletonised, rhodium-plated hands filled with white SLN ensure clarity and precision, while the case’s design allows the movement to remain impressively slim.
