The Peak Malaysia Celebrates Women We Love With Cortina Watch

Bringing together distinguished guests for an evening celebrating leadership, shared experiences and meaningful connections.

The Peak Malaysia and Cortina Watch brought together an intimate group of Women We Love honourees and distinguished guests for an evening celebrating leadership, shared experiences and meaningful connections.

For nearly a decade, The Peak Malaysia‘s Women We Love series has celebrated women making a meaningful impact across business, the arts, science and social enterprise. In July, the publication brought that celebration off the page, welcoming around 20 guests to Brasserie Alma in Kuala Lumpur for an intimate evening of conversation and connection.

Hosted by Datin Azliza Ahmad Tajuddin, CEO of Biz of RE, and Richard Augustin, Creative Director of The Peak Malaysia, the gathering united current and past Women We Love honourees alongside women featured in the publication over the years. Among those in attendance were Dato’ Mandy Chew, Monica Lai, Zena Khan, Jaee Tee, Dr Mahaletchumy Arujanan, Adele Lew and Diane Chia, representing fields spanning hospitality, business, the arts, science and social enterprise.

AN EVENING OF CONNECTION

Held in partnership with Cortina Watch, the evening began with welcome cocktails before guests gathered for dinner in a relaxed setting designed to encourage conversation. Free from formal presentations, the gathering offered an opportunity to exchange ideas, reflect on personal journeys and forge new connections across industries.

The evening marked an important milestone for Women We Love, offering many of the women featured by The Peak Malaysia an opportunity to meet in person and continue the conversations that first began through the magazine’s pages. Despite their varied backgrounds, guests quickly found common ground through shared experiences of leadership, resilience and purpose, with discussions continuing long into the evening.

More than celebrating past achievements, the gathering signalled the next chapter for Women We Love. What began as an editorial series is evolving into a community—one that brings together women who are shaping their respective fields while creating opportunities to connect, collaborate and inspire one another. It was a fitting reflection of what the initiative has always sought to champion: meaningful leadership, authentic storytelling and the power of bringing remarkable women together.
