Louis Vuitton is once again bringing its celebrated Art of Travel to life with the return of the Louis Vuitton Dolomites Classic Run 2026, a four-day journey through some of Italy’s most spectacular landscapes that blends heritage motoring with the Maison’s enduring commitment to craftsmanship and cultural preservation.
Taking place from 1 to 4 September 2026, the invitation-only event begins in Venice before winding through the UNESCO-listed Dolomites and concluding in Monza, where participating vehicles will parade on the legendary Autodromo Nazionale di Monza ahead of the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix. The programme continues with a public display of the competing automobiles at Villa Reale di Monza on 5 and 6 September.

More than a classic car rally, the Louis Vuitton Classic Run continues a tradition first established by the House in 1993. Previous editions have crossed destinations as diverse as the Malaysian rainforest, the Tuscan countryside, China and Central Europe, each reflecting Louis Vuitton’s longstanding association with exploration, craftsmanship and meaningful travel.
This latest edition follows the same philosophy, bringing together collectors and enthusiasts from around the world to navigate approximately 600 kilometres across northern Italy in a regularity rally featuring some of the world’s most significant vintage automobiles. The route has been designed not simply as a driving experience, but as a celebration of landscape, culture and the enduring pleasure of the journey itself.
A Celebration Of Heritage, Craftsmanship And Culture
The event opens in Venice before departing from the historic Villa Pisani, leading participants through dramatic alpine passes and picturesque mountain roads that showcase the natural beauty of the Dolomites. Along the way, Louis Vuitton will collaborate with a number of leading cultural institutions, including the MUVE Foundation in Venice and Villa Reale di Monza, reinforcing its continued support for the preservation of Italy’s artistic and architectural heritage.
The rally also highlights a relationship between Louis Vuitton and the automotive world that stretches back more than a century. In 1897, Georges Vuitton designed one of the House’s first automobile trunks, introducing a flat-topped silhouette that proved better suited to the emerging era of motor travel. This spirit of innovation continued with the creation of the Sacs Chauffeurs in 1905, designed to fit neatly into a vehicle’s spare wheel compartment.
Today, that legacy finds contemporary expression through the Classic Run, where craftsmanship, engineering and the romance of travel continue to intersect.
Where Motoring Meets The Art Of Travel

The journey culminates in Monza, where classic automobiles will share the spotlight with modern motorsport during the opening of the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix weekend. It offers a fitting conclusion to an event that bridges automotive history with contemporary performance while celebrating the timeless appeal of beautifully crafted machines.

Another highlight will be the unveiling of this year’s bespoke trophy, created by acclaimed Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis in collaboration with renowned Italian glassmaker Venini. As with the House’s celebrated commissions for some of the world’s most prestigious sporting events, the trophy will travel inside a custom-made Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk, underscoring the Maison’s long-standing tradition of creating handcrafted cases for iconic competitions.
More than three decades after the inaugural Classic Run, the event continues to reflect Louis Vuitton’s enduring philosophy that the journey itself remains as meaningful as the destination. From Venice to the Dolomites and onwards to Monza, the 2026 edition celebrates not only the evolution of travel, but the craftsmanship, culture and spirit of discovery that have long defined the House.
