Hennessy Lights Up Its Chinese New Year Celebrations In KL

The Maison illuminates the capital city to welcome The Year of the Snake in grand fashion.

A toast to renewal, ambition, and progress. This no doubt sums up Hennessy’s grand celebration in Kuala Lumpur this Chinese New Year.

To welcome the Year of the Snake, Maison Hennessy put on a grand display in two prominent locations in the capital city. Kicking off the festivities, the world’s most renowned cognac house, unveiled a reimagined festive celebration at Upper House KL. Blending Chinese New Year traditions with modernity and artistry, the venue has been transformed into a breathtaking haven of renewal and celebration.

Toast To Good Fortune

The partnership between Hennessy and Upper House KL redefines the way Chinese New Year is experienced. With views overlooking the vibrant Petaling Street and the spectacular city skyline, guests were feted with a curated Chinese New Year inspired menu by Chef Raymond Tham as well as three limited-edition festive cocktails.

Beyond dining and drinks, there were also cultural activities, including digital calligraphy and stamping cards, where personalised blessings can be created to celebrate the joy and prosperity of the new year. At the heart of the celebration is the Snake installation, a luminous centrepiece inspired by Hennessy’s iconic Bras Armé emblem.

This striking structure, with its flowing, dynamic design, symbolises strength, mastery, and resilience — qualities deeply rooted in Hennessy’s DNA. The evening culminated in a spectacular fireworks display symbolising the renewal and optimism of the new year ahead.
