There are nights you remember forever — and then there’s Blue Moon. On 31 May 2026, EQ Kuala Lumpur brings back one of Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic nightlife experiences with the return of the legendary Blue Moon party, reimagined in collaboration with Club Roots on LITE Drive.
Set against the glittering skyline of Sky51, the one-night-only celebration promises a glamorous throwback to the golden decades of nightlife culture — with all the energy, style and soundtrack that made the original unforgettable.
For those who danced through the 80s and 90s, Blue Moon at the former Hotel Equatorial was more than just a club. It was a rite of passage. A place where DJs ruled the room, friendships were forged on the dancefloor and every night felt like the main event.
Now, that electric spirit returns with a refreshed luxury twist.
Attention On Decks

Leading the soundtrack for the evening are LITE FM favourites DJs Sheela, OJ, Robert Mah and Adrian G, joined by DJ Phat Fabes. Together, they will take guests on a nostalgic musical journey spanning the soulful grooves of the 70s, the irresistible singalong hits of the 80s and the iconic dance tracks of the 90s.
The evening begins at Blue, EQ’s chic tribute to the original venue, where guests can ease into the night with retro classics and cocktails in hand. As the atmosphere builds, the party moves outdoors beneath the city lights, transforming Sky51 into a vibrant open-air dancefloor pulsing with timeless anthems and feel-good energy.
Naturally, the drinks menu is just as nostalgic as the playlist. Expect beloved classics including Blue Lagoon, Tequila Sunrise, Cosmopolitan and the ever-theatrical Flaming Lamborghini, alongside cocktail jugs and celebratory shooters designed for sharing.
Food keeps the mood playful and easygoing, with live stations serving sliders, sausage buns and nasi lemak bungkus throughout the night.
A Retro Party

Adding to the fun are two interactive highlights guaranteed to get the crowd talking. “Make It Friends” lets guests buy a RM1,000 round for the house, complete with a ceremonial gong strike, while the Dance Floor Challenge rewards the night’s most unforgettable mover with a DJ-selected bottle of whisky.
Entry starts from a minimum spend of RM150+ per person with reserved seating included, while private Sky Pods are available from RM2,000+ for guests wanting the best views in the house.
For those not ready for the night to end, EQ is also offering an exclusive Blue Moon stay package from 29 May to 2 June 2026, with rooms from RM630+ including breakfast, snacks and soft drinks — the perfect excuse to turn one epic party into a stylish city escape.
Because some legends deserve another dance.
