“How are you?”
It’s a simple question, yet a loaded one. When presented with this query, the mind races with a million possible answers and you start to ask yourself “How am I?”
“I am well.” answers Malaysian artist Chang Yoong Chia. Thus, he created a series of paintings as a reply to that question, detailing the reasons he became an artist- the person he is today. In Chang’s solo exhibition How Are You? I Am Well at A+ Works of Art, visitors are welcomed to dive into the vortex of his mind, memories and emotions through paintings, drawings, sketches and poems that blur the lines between imagination and reality.
To fully dive into Chang’s world and thoroughly examine the phrase “How Are You? I Am Well”, an Artist Talk will be held with the highly talented Chang himself on the 24th of March 2018, 3:00 pm.
