Ferrari Enters A New Era Of Open-Top Driving With The Amalfi Spider

A 640hp twin-turbo V8 and a soft-top roof that opens in just 13.5 seconds

Ferrari has dropped the covers for its new Ferrari Amalfi Spider, a V8-powered 2+ convertible designed to blend contemporary performance with everyday usability. Positioned within the Italian marque’s sports car range, the Amalfi Spider pairs open-top driving with the versatility expected of a grand touring model.

With its front-mid-mounted turbocharged V8 producing 640hp, the car is engineered to deliver a dynamic driving experience while maintaining comfort and refinement. At the heart of the model’s appeal is its retractable soft top, which opens in just 13.5 seconds and can be operated while driving at speeds of up to 60 km/h.

Drop Top Beauty

When folded, the roof occupies just 220mm of space, allowing the car to retain a practical luggage capacity of 255 litres with the roof closed and 172 litres when open. The fabric roof also introduces new opportunities for personalisation, with four tailor-made fabric colours and two technical fabric options available, including a new shade called Tecnico Ottanio.

Optional contrast stitching highlights the car’s sporting character while maintaining Ferrari’s hallmark elegance. Inside, the Amalfi Spider features a dual-cockpit layout and an updated driver-car interface. Key elements include a steering wheel with physical buttons, the return of Ferrari’s signature start button and an integrated central display designed for intuitive interaction while driving.

The 2+ seating configuration adds practicality, allowing the rear seats to accommodate children or provide additional luggage space. A built-in wind deflector integrated into the rear seat backrest helps reduce turbulence during open-top driving, improving comfort for both driver and passenger.

Sporty By Nature

Visually, the design retains the flowing proportions of the coupe while adapting them to an open-air format. Sculpted surfaces and a long bonnet emphasise the car’s sporty stance, while the front is defined by a large air intake feeding the V8 engine.

At the rear, an integrated active spoiler enhances high-speed stability, while forged wheels and carbon-fibre details complete the car’s distinctive, performance-focused aesthetic.

Combining performance, practicality and the thrill of open-air motoring, the Amalfi Spider represents Ferrari’s latest interpretation of the modern luxury sports convertible.
