Bentley And Steinway & Sons Strike A Collaborative Chord

A new partnership that blends automotive performance with musical artistry.

In a meeting of masters, Bentley Motors and Steinway & Sons have unveiled a unique collaboration that fuses the worlds of automotive excellence and musical mastery. Revealed at an exclusive event at Steinway’s famed Hamburg factory, the partnership sees the debut of a bespoke Bentley Flying Spur Speed alongside two extraordinary limited-edition Steinway grand pianos — representing a shared tribute to craftsmanship, innovation, and enduring elegance.

At the heart of this collaboration lies a monochrome narrative — a theme of refined simplicity that resonates deeply with discerning collectors across both marques. The Bentley Flying Spur Speed, finished in immaculate Arctic White with Piano Black veneer detailing, mirrors the striking Ultra Black and Ultra White grand pianos created by Steinway’s master artisans. The design dialogue is both minimalist and bold, serving as a reminder that true luxury lies not in excess, but in meticulous restraint.

TUNED TO PERFECTION

The limited-edition pianos, each produced entirely in Hamburg, include just 18 Model B Concert Grands and eight Model D Concert Grands, making them as rare as they are remarkable.

They represent contemporary interpretations of Steinway’s iconic instruments, blending modern aesthetics with the uncompromising quality for which the brand is renowned. These are not merely instruments, but sculptural statements destined for both the concert hall and the collector’s salon.

“The Ultra Black and Ultra White editions embody Steinway’s ability to honour our heritage while exploring new expressions of design,” elaborates Guido Zimmermann, President of Steinway & Sons Europe. “These pianos are not only instruments of the highest musical quality but also works of art, created for those who value craftsmanship, individuality, and timeless beauty.”

CRAFTED IN HARMONY

Beyond the visual synergy, the partnership is rooted in a mutual respect for artisanal tradition. Recent visits between Steinway’s and Bentley’s craftspeople underscore a shared dedication to excellence in woodworking, veneering, and the pursuit of perfection.

Whether expressed through the deep resonance of a grand piano or the commanding presence of a Flying Spur on the road, both brands uphold a commitment to beauty that transcends time.

“Our collaboration with Steinway & Sons is a meeting of worlds, where craftsmanship connects music and motion,” explains Wayne Bruce, Chief Communications and D&I Officer at Bentley Motors. “The Flying Spur Speed, paired with Steinway’s Ultra Black and Ultra White editions, represents a dialogue between two distinguished names, creating objects of rarity and enduring beauty.”

Following the Hamburg unveiling, the trio of black-and-white masterpieces will embark on a European tour, showcasing a symphony of style and innovation for a select audience of brand connoisseurs.
