The new model debuts with a bold 45.50 mm brushed black ceramic case, a material known for its durability and luxurious finish. The ceramic bezel, featuring a laser-ablated diving scale polished in positive relief, offers both tactile feedback and stunning visual appeal, reminiscent of the acclaimed Planet Ocean Deep Black model.
What truly sets this timepiece apart is its captivating world map dial. At the heart of the design lies a detailed representation of the continents, crafted on a grade 5 titanium surface. Using advanced laser-ablation and varnish techniques, the map offers an impressive view of the Earth from the North Pole. Surrounding this masterpiece is a 24-hour indication – dividing day and night – all beneath the durable hesalite glass.
Two Distinctive Variants
The Seamaster Planet Ocean Worldtimer arrives in two striking dial options to suit different tastes. The first features a bold turquoise varnish dial, this model showcases white Super-LumiNova-filled hands and indexes for enhanced legibility. It comes with an integrated black structured rubber strap, highlighted by turquoise stitching, and a ceramic and ceramised titanium foldover clasp, combining style with comfort.
The Grey Varnish Model on the other hand is for those who prefer a more understated look. This grey treatment with OMEGA’s new grey Super-LumiNova offers a sleek, sophisticated appearance. Its accompanying black rubber strap features a contrasting grey underside, adding an extra layer of visual interest.
Track Time Around the World
A standout feature of the Seamaster Planet Ocean Worldtimer is its ability to track time across multiple time zones. The dial includes a set of global cities allowing wearers to monitor the time in key global locations. Notably, OMEGA includes its hometown of Bienne, Switzerland, at GMT+1, ensuring a personal touch to this global timekeeping tool.
At the heart of the Planet Ocean Worldtimer is the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8938. This automatic movement is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback and is certified to meet the highest standards of precision and performance.
