Marina Bay Sands is Asia’s leading business, leisure and entertainment destination. The integrated resort features Singapore’s largest hotel with over 2,200 luxurious rooms and suites, crowned by the spectacular Sands SkyPark and iconic infinity pool. Its stunning architecture and compelling programming, including state-of-the-art convention and exhibition facilities, Asia’s best luxury shopping mall, world-class dining and entertainment, as well as cutting-edge exhibitions at ArtScience Museum, have transformed the country’s skyline and tourism landscape since it opened in 2010.
This year, Marina Bay Sands welcomes the return of international travellers with a new impressive line-up of indulgent gastronomical treats, luxury retail therapy, nightlife, immersive museum exhibitions, and attractive stay packages at Singapore’s most iconic hotel. The integrated resort which recently emerged as the biggest winner at the Singapore Tourism Awards 2022, continues to introduce world-class entertainment, new dining, retail concepts, and a range of multi-dimensional wellness experiences that is sure to revitalise and bring new dimensions to the experiences that guests can expect there.
Major reinvestments began earlier this year which included enhancements to hotel rooms and suites, food and beverage offerings and throughout all existing properties in efforts to offer new luxury lifestyle amenities for high-value travellers. This transformation will continue on in phases throughout this year and the next, setting a new benchmark of luxury travel in the region.
Paul Town, Chief Operating Officer, Marina Bay Sands, said, “As one of Singapore’s tourism icons, we are excited to welcome back visitors from Malaysia to experience the city and our renewed hospitality offerings. After numerous challenges across borders throughout the pandemic, we are pleased to welcome the return of normalcy, especially at Marina Bay Sands where we have been reinvesting in our programming to elevate the guest experience. Today, we have an impressive suite of dining, leisure and entertainment offerings that will once again raise the bar and allow our Malaysian guests to recreate their fondest memories of Marina Bay Sands.”
Most recently the integrated resort teamed up with United International Pictures to present a special showcase in conjunction with the premiere of the highly anticipated blockbuster sequel Top Gun: Maverick. This month, Movies in the Sky was also introduced and jointly presented by Cinewav, Klook and Marina Bay Sands. Movies in the Sky redefines the conventional cinematic experience set against a magnificent backdrop of Singapore’s distinctive skyline. Audiences are invited to bring along their own headphones to connect to high quality audio that plays in sync with the big screen, as they lounge in custom-designed recliner floor sofas to experience an intimate cinematic concept beyond conventional theatre walls.
Other exciting and anticipated offerings include a stellar portfolio of restaurants and bars, including the highly acclaimed WAKUDA by Chef Tetsuya, MARQUEE which is Singapore’s largest nightclub, and AVENUE where late night travellers can eat, drink and make merry in lavish penthouse style settings. The Sands Wellness Retreat also offers creative menus using plant-based meats and fresh seasonal harvests.
The Marina Bay Sands Events Plaza will come alive again in a kaleidoscope of colours and lights at the popular Spectra signature light and water show that is sure to dazzle the public as it illuminates the city skyline. While over at the ArtScience Museum, visitors can explore a permanent virtual reality (VR) gallery equipped with state-of-the-art VR headsets and controllers, to immerse in unique experiences shaped by some of the world’s most renowned artists, museums and film festivals. We Live in an Ocean of Air (the twice-extended and sold-out virtual reality installation from The Saatchi Gallery, London) brings visitors on a captivating multi-sensory journey through the ecosystem of the Sequoia National Park in California.
The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands celebrated the reopening of Bottega Veneta, Bvlgari and Gucci’s duplexes, bringing the mall’s total number of luxury duplexes to 19. The largest Bottega Veneta in Singapore showcases a full range of ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories and eyewear. Be greeted by a forest green chamfered solid wood frame with rounded corners at the storefront and step into glossy handmade palazzo Morelli terracotta tiles that mirror the brand’s iconic Intrecciato weave. Inspired by the Mediterranean origins and Roman traditions, Bvlgari’s newly renovated duplex is infused with modern and vibrant touches that creates a journey through 2,700 years of Roman history. Ancient marble and stones typical of Roman buildings are used in the design and express a classic geometry open to modern interpretation, in a continuous interplay between innovation and tradition.
Gucci’s newly refreshed flagship store, which sees the combination of traditional and modern, industrial and romantic, effortlessly complements its wide selection of ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, jewellery, and accessories, as well as Gucci Décor and the recently launched Gucci Lifestyle category.
