How deep is your love for a brand? Would you go as far as to design a house in the shape of its logo? Well, Polish architect, Karina Wiciak did just that by designing a series of concept homes that are inspired by famous logos.
Her latest concept, aptly named Ringshouse, imagines the iconic ring emblem that represents Audi. A little bit of history for context, the reason why there are four rings in the logo is that there were originally four independent automotive manufacturers that eventually joined to form the car manufacturer that we know today. They were Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer.
It must be said that Wiciak has already designed four other houses based on famous logos such as Adidas, Chevrolet, Renault and Mitsubishi.
Through the art of compositing, combining visual elements from separate sources into a single image, the founder of Wamhouse Studio imagined how the logo would function as a livable space.
Of course, there are relatively few corners in such a house and the use of raw concrete gives it a very industrial look. High ceilings and an open lay encourage the natural flow of people from one part of the house to the next. That also marries well with the large planes of glass allows that would allow plenty of natural light to flood the insides of the home.
Such a structure would have a dramatic front facade that would encourage any would-be visitor to take a look inside. Wiciak envisioned the home to be set across one level and be complemented by an underground garage and other utility rooms.
As astounding as the design is, the Ringshouse remains to be just a concept and is not a livable home. Nevertheless, one can dream that one day these concept homes would eventually be built.
