For 160 years, TAG Heuer has innovated and designed iconic watches that are on the cutting edge of technology. One such watch is the iconic Carrera collection which the brand has chosen to act as its tribute timepiece to mark the foundation of the company in 1860.
A blend of homage and innovation, the Carrera quickly became a favourite for racecar drivers due to its refined and audacious design coupled with its technical innovations and optimal readability.
The new TAG Heuer Carrera 160 Years Silver Limited Edition was inspired by the 1964 monochrome model which featured a silver dial.
This piece comes encased in a larger 39mm case compared to the original’s 36mm case.
Adding to that, it comes powered by a Calibre Heuer 02 movement and boasts an impressive 80-hour power reserve.
The unique chronograph is said to be available from June 2020 and there will only be 1,860 pieces produced, a nod to the brand’s founding year.
