Since pioneering the luxury connected watch segment in 2015, TAG Heuer has continuously set new benchmarks in the segment, a process that culminated with last year’s wildly successful Connected Modular Golf Edition. This year, however, sees the Swiss watchmaker reach new heights with the latest iteration of its Connected watch.
A stunning design and technological statement, the third-generation Connected combines the refinement and elegance of a chronograph-inspired timepiece, crafted in the purest watchmaking tradition, with a state-of-the-art, custom-designed digital experience geared towards performance. The 45mm stainless-steel or titanium case echoes the distinct design and refined finishes of TAG Heuer chronographs, including the signature facetted lugs, polished and brushed details, a graduated ceramic bezel and a central rotating crown now flanked by two functional pushers.
Just as impressive is what lies under the ultra-legible all-active and flush OLED touchscreen that serves as the dial. Wear OS by Google supports your activities with Google Assistant, Google Translate – there’s a microphone on the left side of the case – and Google Play and its wide selection of apps. Connected also now boasts the new TAG Heuer Sports app, which provides detailed tracking for, among others, golf, running, cycling, walking and fitness, thanks to the built-in, top-of-the-line sensors including GPS and heart-rate monitor. The metrics collected include distance, duration, pace/speed, heart rate and calories.
The is complemented by a newly developed TAG Heuer mobile companion app that allows for even greater personalisation and insights into the user’s achievements. While the timepiece comes with five custom-built watch faces, you’ll also have the choice of customising your own watch face for greater personalisation. This also includes an intuitive interchangeable bracelet system that lets you change your look with a single clip motion.
