Girard-Perregaux’s New Laureato Absolute Light Shines Bright

Girard-Perregaux takes the concept from its well-received Laureato Absolute collection and turned it into something extraordinary. The Laureato Absolute Light.

Girard-Perregaux had first introduced its Laureato Absolute collection during the 2019 Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), a fresh and sporty timepiece that was not afraid to be unconventional. Now in 2020, the brand is back again with yet another stunning creation worthy of our attention, the Laureato Absolute Light.

There is no denying that the Laureato Absolute Light masterfully blends aesthetics and functionality. This latest edition boasts some bold and daring designs such as the use of an octagonal-shaped mainplate.

It features a 44mm case, with a thickness of just 11.5mm, which is made with a combination of sapphire and titanium.

Using sapphire, Girard-Perregaux was able to craft a stunning transparent design that allows the wearer to view the reworked interpretation of the skeletonized GP01800 movement within from all sides.

There is an incredible amount of attention to detail as the black NAC-treated ring has 12 curved sections between mirror-polished triangles to act as hour-markers.

To add a touch of modernity, the rubber strap seamlessly integrates into the watch as if it were made of a single piece.

All of this makes the Laureato Absolute Light light and comfortable to wear.

There is yet to be any word of the Laureato Absolute Light’s price but it is limited to just 88 pieces.
