Mercedes-Benz Malaysia today launched the new E-Class Coupé, the next step in the evolution of the marque’s design idiom. Described by Mark Raine, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s Vice President for Sales and Marketing, as “the perfect definition of sensual purityâ€, the coupé features a surface-accentuated design, with reduced lines and sensuous forms that emphasis its sporty and luxurious personality. Sleek and athletic, the new E-Class Coupé is the perfect edition to the exclusive selection of Mercedes-Benz Dream Cars and represents the pinnacle of automotive excellence.
Two variants are available – the E 200 and E 300, both featuring the AMG Line that offers a choice of sporty, highly contrasting leather interiors in black/classic red or black/deep white, all with horizontal seams, as well as a wide range of exterior paint finishes. Both come equipped with the 9G TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission, which allows fast gearshifts along with lower engine speeds, as standard.
The E 300 is also available with Edition 1, which is limited to 555 units worldwide and combines the AMG Line with the Night package that features 20in AMG light-alloy wheels in exclusive designo cashmere white magno pain as well as a host of design details in high-gloss black.

The AMG Line exterior adds a sense of sportiness to the E-Class Coupé, with its perfectly matched equipment features that include the diamond radiator grille with chrome pins.
The E-Class Coupé is powered by a four-cylinder 2.0-litre in-line engine. The E 200 features 184hp and 300Nm of torque, and accelerates from 0-100km/h in 7.8 seconds, while the E 300, with 245hp and 370Nm, takes just 6.4 seconds.
The high-resolution MULTIBEAM LED headlamps features 84 individually activated high-performance LEDs.
The AMG Line offers a choice of sporty, highly contrasting leather interiors as well as a wide range of exterior paint finishes, while the enhanced ambient lighting with 64 colours use durable, energy-saving LED technology.
The E-Class Coupé comes with two 12.3in, both with a high resolution of 1920 x 720 pixels, that merge under a single lens to produce a Widescreen Cockpit that appears to float in space.
The Burmester surround sound system ensures high fidelity while on the road.
