“Let us dance in the sun, wearing wild flowers in our hair.†The poet Susan Polis Schutz was writing about appreciating nature’s bounty and, to be sure, its heavenly flora bouquets are part of that abundance. Considering her words, Amouage invited a group of The Peak’s select readers who favour fabulous fragrances to a delightful afternoon tea at its luxurious boutique in Starhill Gallery recently. In a happy coincidence (perhaps Apollo, the Greek Sun God, gave his blessings), it was a lovely, sunny day that complemented the luxury perfume house’s presentation of Sunshine Man. A counterpart to Sunshine Woman, the latest fragrance to Amouage’s Midnight Flower Collection draws inspiration from the warmth of sunrays. Guests also had a golden opportunity to meet Christopher Chong, the Creative Director of Amouage, flying in from London especially for the event, who was as effervescent as the fragrance he created. Speaking on Sunshine Man’s delicious ingredients, Chong’s sunny disposition had the guests falling in love with the radiant fragrance. It was certainly a delightful gathering, with Amouage’s sweet fragrances permeating the air as guests enjoyed tea, wine and delectable treats. Heaven scent? Oh, yes.
