CENTRE STAGE

Le French Festival beckons you go mad –with delight of course- at the exclusive staging of Amok, adapted from Stefan Zweig’s novel that tells the tale of a young doctor running away from a dark secret. Interpreted by Alexis Moncorgé , audiences will follow the journey of the troubled doctor on the deck of a ship crossing the dark waters to Europe as he escapes Malaysia where he’s worked for five years.

Have we also mentioned that this adaptation earned Alexis Moncorgé a Molière (French national theatre award) for Best Male Newcomer in 2016? Set on the darkened stage of Damansara Performing Arts Centre, audiences can watch Moncorgé express passion tinged with madness in this French play with English subtitles.

Amok will be running at Damansara Performing Arts Centre on the 4th & 5th of May. Contact damansara.dpac@gmail.com or 03-4065 0001 for ticketing information.
